Our clients encounter a wide variety of real estate issues and needs. They can rely on RWR’s well-established expertise in all aspects of real estate law to help them meet those needs and resolve such issues. We provide general legal counsel to businesses of all types. We assist virtually all of our business clients with their real estate transactions, including leasing of office and industrial space, the purchase and development of new property, and the sale of properties. Our primary role in this regard is to protect our client’s interests in the transaction and facilitate an expeditious closing of our client’s desired transaction.

For our bank clients, we provide full service in the documentation and closing of loans secured by real estate. This involves the preparation of loan documents tailored to the terms of the each loan and protecting the bank’s collateral interest in real estate and other property, review and analysis of surveys, title insurance commitments or reports, and documents encumbering or otherwise effecting title to the subject properties and attending to the closing of the financing transaction. We also represent bank clients in enforcing their collateral positions against real estate and the disposition of this property after successful enforcement results in the client’s ownership of the real estate and other property.

Our clients include real estate developers, investors and contractors. Much of work for these clients involves reviewing with our clients all aspects of various transactions, including financing of the same. In this regard, we have assisted clients in the understanding and negotiation of various types of financing. We have also been instrumental in helping our clients establish borrowing and other banking relationships with our numerous financial institution contacts. We have extensive experience in negotiating and preparing agreements relating to the purchase and sale, lease or other use, and development of real estate.

Traditionally, the firm has enjoyed a practice in all aspects of litigation. We are regularly involved in commercial and real estate litigation including mechanic’s lien claims, title disputes, contract enforcement, declaratory judgment actions, claims for injunctive and other equitable relief and collections. Given the significant expertise of members of our firm in litigation, including insurance defense and real estate law, our firm is well equipped to handle, and does handle on a regular basis, title insurance claims work.
